A series of bomb threats have rocked the security apparatus in Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister MK Stalin's residence, Chennai Raj Bhavan, BJP state office, and star heroine Trisha's residence have been receiving threat calls since Thursday (October 2) evening. The police were immediately alerted after they received phone calls claiming that bombs had been planted.
The Chennai Police Commissionerate has taken emergency measures. Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), Dog Squad and special forces are being deployed and searches are being conducted in all areas. However, officials said that no explosives or suspicious objects have been found so far and there is no need for anyone to panic. Security measures have been tightened as Trisha's residence is on Cenotaph Road, which is close to CM Stalin's residence.
