As 'The Matrix' turns 25, Keanu gushes, 'As an artist, you hope for it'

John Wick may be badass, but he also has his fair share of vulnerable moments, especially when Keanu Reeves takes over in him. Recently, the Hollywood star got choked up talking about 25 years of his film 'The Matrix'.

Variety reported that Reeves realized that he was silent for 20 seconds while trying to find the right words to remember the movie.

He told Stephen Colbert during an appearance on 'The Late Show': "'The Matrix' changed my life, and then over the years, it's changed a lot of people's lives in really positive and great ways."

Collecting himself, the actor stated: "As an artist, when you want to make a film or tell a story you hope for that."

According to Variety , Reeves appeared choked up while adding: “So when you say over the years, the amount of people I've met, who have spoken to me and touched 'The Matrix' in such a positive way... it's the best .”
